I’ve always been passionate about creating meaningful change, especially when it comes to tackling environmental challenges. Through previous projects and community service events—like organizing recycling drives and participating in local clean-ups—I’ve seen firsthand how our actions, big or small, can influence climate change. These experiences have deepened my understanding of both the ways we contribute to environmental harm and the solutions we can implement to reverse it. Being a part of MediCycle has allowed me to channel this passion into innovative, impactful work that empowers others to make a difference.

Ever since I was young, I was always interested in how businesses operated at such a large scale. I attended a summer camp at Wharton in Pennsylvania, where I started learning the basics of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship gives me an avenue to not only express my creativity but also help make the better place, and in Wharton I pitched a startup that used harmful brine water from desalination plants to cultivate certain seaweed species. MediCycle is a continuation of my goal to help preserve the environment and further learn  about entrepreneurship. 

As a student myself, I was unaware of the environmental harm medicine waste caused. Like many others, I was unknowingly contributing to the problem. I’ve always wanted to make a positive difference in the world, and MediCycle gave me the perfect opportunity to be part of the solution.
